COMETO TAG10 and ECM05 Wire Cutting Heads

The COMETO TAG10 cutting unit is designed to ensure precision and efficiency in cutting wires, strips and profiles. It can process wires with diameters from 1-12mm and strips and profiles with a maximum width of 12mm.

Available in three different versions:

• Pneumatic
• Hydraulic
• Electric via brushless motor

The TAG10 unit features a cast iron body with internal rectangular carriage slides. The carriage guidance system uses INA full-complement rollers with hardened surfaces to ensure durability and precision. The carriage play is adjustable via gibs and the system is lubricated by a centralized oiler to optimize performance and reduce wear.

The knife positioned centrally on the carriage and aligned with the thrust axis ensures a clean and uniform cut. The material being processed is guided by an interchangeable perforated bushing adjustable to adapt to different sizes. The guiding system and knife are designed for quick replacement, minimizing downtime during changeovers.

The TAG10 unit operates with a guillotine cutting motion, blocking the material to ensure a precision result. The unit is compatible for use with COMETO feeders ensuring efficient integration.

Operating pressures: 

• Pneumatic version: input pressure 1-6kg/cm2, cutting force 1800kg
• Hydraulic version: input pressure 50-150kg/cm2, cutting force 4500kg

Cutting stroke time 0.4 seconds for 12mm diameter

The COMETO ECM05 cutting head is suitable for any type of wire or profile up to 5mm diameter. This unit uses a 'compass' or open knife type cutter, with a cutting stroke time of 0.15 seconds. The ECM05 is powered by a brushless electric motor as standard, but a lower cost pneumatic version is also available as an option.
